I don't know if I've mentioned it before but my twin sister Jen is in the band Good Luck Varsity. And this summer, they're going on a month long tour on the west coast with this huge Christian music tour. Pretty exciting, but up until today we didn't have much more information than that. But Jen finally has the tour dates and locations.

Now, my parents have asked me to go with her the first week, just so she won't be alone, and then they're gonna drive out to wherever we are and stay with us a a week and then my parents and I will go back home while Jen & GLV finishes their tour.

The first show is in California on July 7th. We stay in California doing shows in a few different CA cities (none of which sound very popular--anyone every hear of Barstow or Ridgecrest?) and then on July 13th we'll be in Las Vegas for four days doing shows just in that city. Which is exciting, because I've always wanted to go to Las Vegas. My parents will probably come stay starting the first day we're in Las Vegas, July 13th, and when GLV is leaving Las Vegas on July 17th, my family and I will leave to go home. That's what I'm assuming anyway.

I have mixed feelings for sure. I have church camp the week before we leave for this tour (June 29-July 2 or 3). Then I've gotta pack up and leave on either July 4th or 5th I'm assuming to make the THIRTY-FIVE HOUR DRIVE to California. That is not going to be fun. And it's going to stink to basically be gone from home for three weeks, for camp and then this tour. But I've never been further west than Illinois and I've always wanted to. So that's cool. But I'm not very close to anyone in Jen's band. I'm just afraid I'll get really lonely, or that the guys will be so busy with the shows that they won't have time to do anything else. What am I supposed to do when they're playing all their shows or setting up with the tour? Hang out in the hotel? Will we even be in a hotel? Who knows.

Hopefully it'll be the experience of a lifetime. Right?
