"If we cut off their tongues and forbid the Christians speech, they love with their hands, with their feet, and with their eyes, they love always and everywhere until their last [breath]. Does anybody know how to take out the power of the love from these stupid Christians?"

- Romanian prison guard who found both his fulfillment and frustration in torturing Christians

I read this in a book today, the book I've been reading. When God Writes Your Love Story by Eric & Leslie Ludy.
And it helped me today, when my dad left a voicemail on my phone telling me I needed to cancel my weekend plans because we have to leave tonight for Tennessee for my uncle's funeral (and those weekend plans included two photo shoots, a concert I'd been so excited to go to and a plans with some friends, not to mention work). I'll be gone until at least Monday night.
It helped today when I found out one of my old best friends, one I've been trying to reach through my patience with her, called me a really mean name behind my back.
With my mouth taped shut, I must love with my hands.
With my hands tied behind my back, I must love with my feet.
I must give up what I want to give others what they need.
And through this, I find real joy and real happiness. Every single day of my life.
